I have this really bad habit of bringing up emotional memories when I am trying to do something important. It's like "wow I have this incredibly important and long paper I haven't started... oh I better read old love letters." or "oh geez I really need to get this application in before the deadline... I better go look at pictures of people I care about."

so stop living in the past, and do what you need to do to ensure a secure future.

maybe part of ur problem has always been that u think anything that used to be great still is. wouldn't u enjoy life more if you started paying attention to the present and what you want later on instead of wasting time on crapp thats over and done with?

hehe, so I was mentioning someone calling me childish, and I think maybe you just pegged me. I tend to think Im all mature in the ways I handle situations, but I think the childish part of me is that I do actually refuse to grow up, move on. So yes you are correct miss.

But it is hard to move beyond old feelings, when they are based on really enjoying someone for who they are. For instance I was looking at some pictures from a trip I took one time and I loved looking at the people's expressions. Because I remembered the exact moment and feeling of that face. What those eyes meant etc. And it makes it pretty hard to move on... (though I am fairly certain I have) because I know that those people are still out there, making those faces being beautiful... and I am certain because I believe in them... that they are doing even better now... and that they are even more beautiful. Thanks for the note, sorry I always complain so much.

Dude I do the exact same thing. And like hardcore cleaning is next to impossible because I find a bunch of crap like that beyond the stuff that I already know where it is.

I don't think reminiscing about old times means you are living in the past, I think it is more you *appreciate* the past and can reflect upon it and how you have changed, how they have changed, etc. etc. and I don't see how that's a bad thing. We learn because things happen to us and we remember them. History teaches us so much and while it is good to think about the future, I think people waste just as much time thinking about that as they do the past. Which is worse?

I think you should continue on remembering... but get the applications and papers done too, lol. I heart you mikey

Yumi Lover is somewhat right, I didn't mean to be insensitive when I said stop living in the past. Of course we should remember the good times, many times it's those fond memories that keeps us going today, I just meant don't dwell on the past and let it keep you from moving forward; that's all I meant.

"I have a lot of work to do...or I could go find some ice-cube trays to fill"

That usually works for me. Er, doesn't work.
