Facebook has this advertisement that has this picture with the words "ew. disgusting." and then some weightloss mumbo jumbo below it... maybe its just me, but i thought that was rather offensive.

I've seen this too. And people wonder why so many girls have eating disorders... It doesn't help that adds like this make it sound like having a little healthy meat on you is a bad thing.
It angers me that instead of altering our self-presentation (ie dressing to fit and flatter and comfort each individual body type) we are told to alter our body type in order to best fit the clothes.
It hurts that this mentality is acceptable and encouraged. It hurts that someone is making a buck off of a person's insecurities.
No no, they're right...showing only part of a woman and subjecting her to wearing tight jeans and being nothing but an object for us to praise or disdain? They're right, that is disgusting.
It tops facebook's other ad, "Find a Hot Boyfriend!"
